I spent a couple of hours around
Sylacauga on Saturday afternoon and took some photos that struck my eye. These
may be of little interest because they are just, well … regular old stuff in
Sylacauga. I wanted to get some photos of the burned out mill but couldn’t get
past the fence. It is hard to believe that the entire Avondale Mills enterprise
is basically gone. My father was a company officer there and so I have some
history with that place. So … the images of the mill are taken thorough the
chain link fence. Not whatcha want. These images are High Dynamic Range (HDR)
and so obviously aren’t what you see with your nekked eye, unless you are one of
the people talking about their experiments with LSAT back in their “youthful”
days. THEY may see things this way. I hope these guys have recovered from their
indiscretions. I won’t name names.
